We use the smallest set of cookies we can. Essential ones keep you signed in securely; everything else is optional, off by default, and never runs inside the signed-in advisor.

1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. Similar technologies such as local storage and session storage work the same way. Slingshot uses both to keep you signed in and to remember the privacy choices you make here.
2. Strictly necessary cookies
Required for the app to function: authentication and session state, security and abuse prevention, and storage of your consent choices themselves. These cannot be switched off, and we rely on legitimate interest rather than consent for them.
3. Functional & analytics cookies
Optional. They help us understand aggregate usage and diagnose crashes so we can improve the experience. They are only ever set after you opt in, and never inside the signed-in advisor experience.
4. Marketing & attribution cookies
Optional. They would let us measure external advertising campaigns. They are only ever set after you opt in on a public page, and are blocked entirely on every signed-in page regardless of your choice.
5. Your conversations are never used for advertising
No third-party marketing, retargeting, or ad-attribution script runs on the advisor, profile, or admin screens. Operational error logging on those screens strips your message text and any details about your child before anything is recorded.
6. Global Privacy Control
If your browser or extension sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a binding opt-out. Analytics and marketing cookies are disabled automatically and your saved preferences cannot re-enable them while the signal is present.
7. Managing and withdrawing consent
You can change or withdraw consent at any time using the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer or in Profile & settings. Withdrawing consent removes any optional scripts immediately. You can also clear cookies and site data through your browser settings.
8. We do not sell your data
