These terms apply whenever you use The Slingshot Advisor. In short: Skye is educational coaching for adults, it is not clinical care, and it should never be relied on in an emergency.
1. What this service is
The Slingshot Advisor (“Skye”) is an AI-powered educational coaching tool for parents and guardians of young people, trained on Slingshot's IDEAS Framework. Responses are generated by artificial intelligence and may be incomplete or incorrect. You are responsible for how you use them.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and a parent or legal guardian of the young person you are seeking guidance about. Accounts are for individual use and may not be shared.
3. Non-clinical scope
Skye is not a licensed healthcare provider, medical professional, therapist, counselor, or crisis service. Nothing in this app is clinical diagnosis, psychiatric treatment, therapy, legal advice, or financial advice. Always consult a licensed professional for clinical concerns.
4. Emergencies
If you or your child are in immediate danger, call 911 (US). For mental health crisis support, call or text 988 in the US and Canada. Do not rely on this app in an emergency.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use the service to harass others, to attempt to obtain clinical or medical decisions, or to submit content you have no right to share. Please avoid entering direct personal identifiers about your child.
6. Availability and changes
We may update, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. Material changes to these terms will be published with a new version number, and you may be asked to review and accept them again.
7. No warranty; limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Slingshot is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
